The Address of JICA Chief Representative in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan

          Thank you very much for your kind expression of sympathy and donation in this time of great hardship Japanese people are going through. I would like to express my sincere gratitude on behalf of the Headquarters of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

          As you know, the victims of Tohoku district, devastated by earthquake and tsunami of 2011, are still forced to live under a very difficult situation. I assure you that your precious donation will be utilized to support them in an effective way. It will also warm their hearts to know that friends of Japan are offering sincere support and solidarity from many parts of the world.

          In the time of a disaster of such an unprecedented scale, it is very encouraging and reassuring to know that we have sympathy and support from the international community as we face a long way toward reconstruction and that we are not alone in this endeavor.

          I would like to reiterate my heartfelt gratitude for your kindness and ask for your continuous collaboration with JICA.
